A biobank is an organization that collects and stores biological data for researchers. BigLife uses artificial intelligence to prevent piglet deaths in farrowing pens. It is a well-known problem that sows lie down on piglets. The first few days are especially critical for piglets’ chances of survival. Biglife looked at image recognition in human healthcare and applied that to sow farming.
